Morgan Fischer is a senior at the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. She is a double major studying journalism and mass communication and political science. She hopes to cover politics, education, health or community issues for a national publications in a print, digital or multimedia capacity. She currently is a national politics intern for The Arizona Republic. In the position, she pitches stories, covers meetings and press conferences, and writes profiles and other stories related to politics in Arizona.

Additionally, during her time at the Walter Cronkite School, Fischer has worked four internships, one fellowship and one professional program. Previously, she has worked as a digital reporter for the Carnegie-Knight News21 investigative journalism program, reporting intern for The Copper Courier, digital production intern for The Arizona Republic, an education and technology reporter for Cronkite News' Washington, D.C. Bureau and as a politics and newsletter editor for The State Press.
