Morgan Fischer is a news staff writer at Phoenix New Times. She write about politics, housing, education and other topics in the Phoenix area. She has her journalism and mass communication degree from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School. She also holds a degree in political science from ASU.

Her past experience includes an internship at The Arizona Republic covering politics, a digital reporter for the Carnegie-Knight News21 investigative journalism program, reporting intern for The Copper Courier, digital production intern for The Arizona Republic, an education and technology reporter for Cronkite News' Washington, D.C. Bureau and as a politics and newsletter editor for The State Press.
